Capacity Builders – BAME social enterprise update

CEMVO are pleased to welcome Waliur Rahman to their staff, as the new Project Manager for the Capacity Builders’ BAME social enterprise project. Waliur brings valuable experience of working with BAME organisations in capacity building organisations and giving management consultancy in both the voluntary and private sector. He has just transferred from successfully managing CEMVO’s commissioned Future Jobs Fund programme, achieving 100% of the targets and being nominated for a DWP award.

Getting British Business Online

GBBO Approximately half of the South West’s Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) don’t have a website, and with 17p in every pound now spent online, as well as customers increasingly searching via the web for products and services, now has never been a better time for businesses to have an internet presence.

Google, Enterprise UK, BT, the Department for Business Innovation & Skills and e-skills UK have been working together to develop practical support to help businesses take advantage of the opportunities that the internet offers, through a campaign called Getting British Business Online.

All Selwood Housing Homes now meet Government Standard

Selwood Housing is celebrating this week after achieving the Decent Homes Standard on all homes months ahead of their deadline.
